Clive Barnes (1927- )   
English journalist, critic, writer

Clive Barnes was born in London and educated at Oxford University. He came to the United States in 1965 to join the New York Times as Dance and Theater critic. He left the Times in 1977 to join the New York Post as Dance and Drama critic, a position he still holds. He is also currently Senior Editor of Dance Magazine, as well as a lecturer and writer. His study of Rudolf Nureyev with Elizabeth Kaye is a best seller.
